Modern education entails technical education. Lumbini Zone around 2000AD did not have much scope for it. Therefore, in order to fulfill this long outstanding demand we have decided to establish Lumbini Enginieering College in order to provide opportunity for technical education to the youth of this region in particular. As the government could not meet the requirement of technical institution, the educated and dedicated to social service people established this college in private sector.
My experience in modern education sector created an impression that education plays significant role in the development of any zone. Technical education is the backbone of development. To implement these motives and act on our experience we have decided to establish LEC despite financial and other constraint. Our motto behind the emergence of this College was to bring technical education at the door of the local people to avoid the compulsion of out going for higher education. I wish this College will fulfill the demand of technical requirement of the region.
LEC's establishment in 2000Ad in Rupandehi is a milestone in technical education. Education has to
be relevant to the age and modern age is not conceivable shun technical education. Development
without technical education is almost impossible though the match of technical know how and a
particular country's requirement of such technicality involves a serious debate.
LEC's promotors' sole motive is to
fulfill the demand of technical institute for higher level in the zone to stop the outgoing
youths in the name of qualitative and technical education. So for technical education is concerned
Lumbini Zone has already become self- dependent. For any social effort local people's support is indispensable
so we appeal to the people and students of this zone to support us.
To establish an engineering college in private sector is an example of the concern of the people to
develop the locality and nation. If it is established in a rural area, its aim is better realized.

and they are engaged in various government offices, Banks, Software Companies both at home and abroad.
It has succeeded in producing university topper students securing 100% marks.
No one can deny the importance of technical education in modern age. The facility for technical
education provided by our government is not enough to meet the requirement of the country of technical manpower,
Moreover the trend of going abroad in search of employment seems to be continuing unless new possibilities in
this sector are explored. The world job market is available only in technical field. So, to make our
youth sellable at home and abroad, technical education is essential.
Lumbini Engineering College is trying to fulfill this demand of home and abroad.
